Hubris

Lucifer may be, the sin of pride. I must be the one—with pride of twenty, To lend him pride, outstrip his plenty. Destiny of his, I could decide. Meaningless, irrelevant, the morning star. Truth is: hubris cloaks this soul of mine. To consume this hubris without a scar— Might be even for me out of the line. Burning in hubris is the last resort. Ambition, now the fire that burns me down.
