a card, no longer in use, one with an edge worn off, round, and a white crease across it. smudged between a book or two. c programming and sylvia’s poetry, once a week, the book’s out of the bag, and there comes the light. pages flip, the card is noticed, tossed into a pile of sketch pens, in the drawer of a man who doesn’t draw.
